Michelle Foy Sucaet is a professional artist based in southeast Michigan. She paints a diverse range of subjects for commercial and private clients, all with heart and elegant aesthetic.

Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My parents tell of how I held a pencil or paintbrush in my hand from a very young age. It has always been second nature for me, or more accurately, my true nature. I have been painting for clients and myself for more than 30 years. Although oil on canvas is my favorite media, I have created many works of art in various formats, including murals, portraits, furniture, and statement pieces in the home. For the past 20 years I’ve been based in my barn studio in Armada, Michigan, not too far from the water of my beloved Great Lakes.

My formal education is diverse and including institutions such as Cranbrook, The Center for Creative Studies, Michigan University, and Michigan State University. I have been published multiple times in state and national publications and have shown my work at many exhibitions, including Art Prize. I also teach occasional classes and offer art therapy sessions and 1:1 mentoring.

I am fortunate that I am able to use my passion to work with clients to forge pieces that reflect both our souls. I love to share the experience with those who may have believed that an original artwork was out of reach for them. There is immense beauty in an original and I believe my heart and hard work is visible in each of them.
